Summer Institute for School Improvement Teams
Improving schools is the work of an entire school community and takes a team approach. This institute will help teams work together to identify the best actions for implementing their comprehensive educational plans and other goals. The institute will include fun activities for participants to build strength as a team and a common understanding of the 2023-24 mission for school improvement.

Three-Day Summer Institute for School Teams (Principals, APs, Teacher Leaders, Parent Coordinators, etc.)
August 7 - 9, 2023 | 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM | Location: 2600 Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd., Suite MB, New York, NY 10039 (use 150th Street entrance)
Participants will examine the school’s vision and develop explicit responsibilities, activities, and events for mapping the upcoming school year. The team will work together to create the non-negotiables and commitments necessary to create the school culture necessary to provide students with a quality and thought-provoking experience daily.
Day 1: Examining the school’s vision and outlining the team’s roles and work for the 2023-24 school year.
Day 2: Understanding the team’s role in developing and cultivating school culture that leads to high student achievement.
Day 3: Creating an action plan specific for the school’s leadership team members to guide support and feedback to the school community.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided for each day of the institute.
